Fancy Fold Card meets Free as a Bird...

Hi all,

Yesterday was my regular Stampin' Stars Team get together.  This is an event I always really look forward to.  I have a team of 20 demonstrators who live local to me and it's a great opportunity for us to catch up, discuss what's going on in the Stampin' Up! world, share our ideas and projects, eat cake and of course CRAFT!

I like to organise a Make and Take for us all to recreate, and recently I have asked team members to volunteer to do this.  We are such a talented bunch of crafters with our own styles and ideas so it is great to share this out.  This month we were all treated to this fancy fold card decorated with the new Free As A Bird Stamp Set that is available from the 4th June.

This card, believe it or not, has been put together using a single sheet of Cardstock (measurements below), three pieces of DSP, and a really clever (but simple) mechanism for the easel stand in the middle.

This card also folds perfectly flat for sending in the post, and could be adapted to any occasion, style and person!  I can't wait to recreate at Christmas with a Christmas Tree in the centre.....

As a team leader, it is such a heart warming feeling when someone share their ideas and projects, and watch as everyone gets excited about what someone has put their heart into!

For the Card:

• Basic Black A4 Cardstock, cut to measure 8" x 8" 

           - Score at 4" from top to bottom

           - Turn cardstock, 90 degrees, and score at 4" from top to the middle score line 

           - Turn cardstock 180 degrees and cut at 4" from the top to the middle score line. 

• 2 pieces of matching DSP (for the centre pieces), cut to measure 3.75" x 3.75"

           - Cut one piece diagonally in half

• 1 piece of DSP (for the wings) , cut to measure 3.75" x 3.75"

           - Cut diagonally in half

• 1 piece of Whisper White A4 Cardstock, cut to measure 3.75" x 3.75"
