Fancy Fold Card meets Free as a Bird...

Hi all,

Yesterday was my regular Stampin' Stars Team get together.  This is an event I always really look forward to.  I have a team of 20 demonstrators who live local to me and it's a great opportunity for us to catch up, discuss what's going on in the Stampin' Up! world, share our ideas and projects, eat cake and of course CRAFT!

I like to organise a Make and Take for us all to recreate, and recently I have asked team members to volunteer to do this.  We are such a talented bunch of crafters with our own styles and ideas so it is great to share this out.  This month we were all treated to this fancy fold card decorated with the new Free As A Bird Stamp Set that is available from the 4th June.

This card, believe it or not, has been put together using a single sheet of Cardstock (measurements below), three pieces of DSP, and a really clever (but simple) mechanism for the easel stand in the middle.

This card also folds perfectly flat for sending in the post, and could be adapted to any occasion, style and person!  I can't wait to recreate at Christmas with a Christmas Tree in the centre.....

As a team leader, it is such a heart warming feeling when someone share their ideas and projects, and watch as everyone gets excited about what someone has put their heart into!

If you would like to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, either to start your own business or to take part in the many events that Stampin' Up! run, you can find out more information HERE

For the Card:
  • Basic Black A4 Cardstock, cut to measure 8" x 8"
           - Score at 4" from top to bottom
           - Turn cardstock, 90 degrees, and score at 4" from top to the middle score line
           - Turn cardstock 180 degrees and cut at 4" from the top to the middle score line.
  • 2 pieces of matching DSP (for the centre pieces), cut to measure 3.75" x 3.75"
           - Cut one piece diagonally in half
  • 1 piece of DSP (for the wings) , cut to measure 3.75" x 3.75"
           - Cut diagonally in half

  • 1 piece of Whisper White A4 Cardstock, cut to measure 3.75" x 3.75"

When placing an order online, please remember to enter the hostess code below at checkout
All customers who add this code to their order will receive a gift from me at the end of the month.  If your order totals more than £150 please do not use this code as you can choose your own rewards to add to your order, and you will still receive a very special gift from me at the end of the month.

If your order totals £130 or more, you can save money by adding it to the Starter Kit option
The current joining offer means that for £99 you can choose £130 of product of your choice and join Stampin' Up!  You can click the "Save and Join" icon above to find out more information on what this means.  A great thing about buying the Starter Kit is that you become part of the Stampin' Up! community and have access to exclusive demonstrator events, discounted product and first-access to new products!

As always, if you have any questions leave me a comment or send me an email and I will do my best to help.

  1. This is a really cute card. I bought this bundle also. I figured most of it out, but are you willing to share how the mechanism works? I'm a SU! demonstrator from the US. I will follow you now!

    1. Thank you so much Jan! As it was part of our team get together I don't have a video tutorial to share. However, to create the inside mechanism, you cut a piece of cardstock measuring 3.25" x 6". Score at 3" along the 6" line. Fold in half and then place a scallop circle die over the folded edge so that it creates a hinge when you cut. Fold one in half to create the easel effect and then attach another die-cut scallop circle to decorate. I hope that makes sense..xx

  3. Please tell me about the folder that has been holding the options and facilities for the humans. Most of the best assignment writers have been giving huge insight for the right and authenticity of the facts for the people.
