Male card with Happy Birthday Die...

Hi all,

I always find male cards tricky and I think that’s common amongst us crafters so I’m always pleased when I create one that i can use for the men in my life!

This card not only is great for men, it’s a really good technique for doing something a bit different with your punches! I got this idea a little while ago from Pinterest and it’s been in my brain for weeks!

I have used the Tailored Tag Punch to cut out a single shape. I have then drawn around this shape with different Watercolour Pencils and then used an Aqua Painter to add water and shade the inside of the shapes. As this has dried, the shading has become clearer and I think the colours really work well together.

I have mounted it onto a Basic Black card base and added the die-cut Happy Birthday. To make this shiny I have used a product known as “Glossy Accents” which I purchased through Amazon. This is a wet-glue like substance that dries shiny. I recently rediscovered this product and I’m hooked again!

To finish, I have added “To You” which has been stamped used a Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad to Stamp individual letters from the “Labeler Alphabet Stamp Set”.
