Farewell to Dragonfly Dreams.....

Hi all,

So as you may have heard, we have a new annual catalogue coming in June.  The great thing about this is that it is full of gorgeous new products for us to get excited about but it does mean that we have to say goodbye to some favourite products that will not be carrying over into the new catalogue.

One of those sets that will be retiring is the Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set and Detailed Dragonfly Dies.  This set has been around for a while now and has been very popular.  If you have this on your wishlist then it will be available until stocks last but hurry as things are starting to sell out quickly!  You can click on the "Shop Now" icon below to place your order and browse the other products that will be retiring.

Today's card I have used the bee image as the main feature.  I love the texture on this image and it is so realistic.

I have used a card base that has been cut from Crumb Cake A4 Cardstock.  It measures 14.9cm x 21cm and it has been scored at 10.5cm and folded.  This size card fits perfectly into the C6 Envelopes that Stampin' Up! sell as part of their Paper Basics selection of products.

I have added a layer of Whisper White Cardstock that measures 10cm x 14.4cm.  The circle image comes from the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set (also retiring) and I have stamped it using a Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad.  The bee has been stamped using the same ink pad and coloured in wit h Stampin' Blends.

I have cut out the same size circle using the 2.25" Circle Punch and placed it over the image.  Using a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker and a Mango Melody Stampin' Write Marker, I have splashed some ink across the card front. I didn't want the splashes inside the circle hence the placement of the punched circle.  Once happy with the look, I have removed the circle and discarded it.

I have cut a piece of Vellum measuring 10cm x 1.5" and stamped the sentiment that comes from the Beautiful Day Stamp Set.  I have used a Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad for this and let dry before attaching it to the card front.

To finish, I have tied some linen thread around the left edge of the card front, secured with a bow and added two Adhesive Backed Sequins.

We will be using this stamp set for a different design at my regular Coffee and Card event tomorrow which takes place at Bredgar Farm Shop in Sittingbourne from 10.30 - 11.45am.  It costs £5 to take part and that includes everything you need to make this card and a hot drink of your choice.
