Granny Apple Green meets Butterfly Gala...

Hi all,

I didn't think Stampin' Up! could give us a better green than Old Olive until along comes Granny Apple Green!  It's bright, it's rich and it's just so versatile!  I have used it this month to colour in those gorgeous Frogs and now it's being used to create a butterfly themed card!

For this card base I have cut a piece of Granny Apple Green Cardstock to measure 21cm x 14.9cm, scored and folded in half at 10.5cm.

The white strip across the middle of the card measures 2" x 14.9cm and has been stamped in Granny Apple Green ink and then attached onto the card front.  I have used Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive for this.

The black edging that you see is not a layer underneath the white strip, but instead two small strips of Basic Black Cardstock.

To create the sentiment, I have cut the circle shape using a die from the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies.  This has been attached to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals to raise.

I have stamped the sentiment onto Whisper White Cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and before attaching to the card front, I have cut around the words.

The butterflies have been stamped using Granny Apple Green Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and punched out using the Butterfly Duet Punch.

I have used an Aqua Painter with some Granny Apple Green Ink to colour the butterflies in before attaching to the card front.

To finish, I have added some Glitter Enamel Dots.

As always I have added a bit of stamping to the envelope to tie this project all together!
