INTRODUCING HIPPO HAPPINESS

in , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, July 03, 2020
Today's cards were put together using the Hippo Happiness Stamp Set and Hippo and Friends Dies Bundle.

These cards were created during a Facebook Live crafting session and you can watch the replay HERE

The first card was put together using a Pool Party coloured card base; I have used the largest die in the Hippo and Friends Dies to cut the aperture in the front.  I have added a piece of Whisper White Cardstock measuring 9.5cm x 13.9cm to the inside layer.

I have used the "Hippo Birthday" sentiment to add some repetitive stamping to a circle that has been cut from the Stitched Shapes Dies and attached to a piece of Highland Heather Designer Series Paper that I have cut with another of the Hippo and Friends Dies.  These have been attached to the inside layer so that it shows through the aperture.

For the hippos, I have used the Stamparatus stamping platfrom to ensure that my stamping is super acurate and for the base layer, I have added the ink to the stamp using a Sponge Dauber; this is a great way to get a muted tone of the colour you are using.

The sentiment has been added to a banner of Whisper White and I have added two flower embellishments to finish.

For the second card, I have used a cardbase cut from So Saffron Cardstock and some So Saffron Designer Series PaperThe die-cut piece of Pool Party is actually the piece that was cut out from the front of the card above (it was too good to waste!)

I have then used one of the other label dies to cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and added the thread dies to cut the holes that I have threaded the ribbon through (so clever!)

The top layer has been stamped with the flower image in So Saffron and I have used the Stamparatus again to create the unicorn (isn't he cute?!)

So pleased with how these cards have come together and it was a great excuse to use the Stamparatus again!  Is this bundle on your wishlist?
