Winter Wonderland Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

Hi all,

Welcome to the Winter Wonderland Stampers Showcase Blog Hop.  If you are following this hop, you will have joined me from the ever so talented Leonie Stuart from Australia.  If this is your first time visiting me blog then a big hello from me!  I am a UK based demonstrator and I am pleased to be joining such a talented group of demonstrators in today's hop!

My Winter Wonderland themed project is from my final workshop of 2019 that took place last week and that I have waited to write about.

When I originally saw the Autumn/Winter catalogue way back in July I knew this So Many Stars Bundle of products was going to be special so I wanted to create a wow project for my class attendees and here it is!

I have decorated a plain embroidery hoop using a selection of stars that I have die-cut using the Stitched Stars dies in 4 different colours of cardstock; Pool Party, Pretty Peacock, Smoky Slate and Basic Gray.  These colours scream Winter Wonderland to me and I have added touches of silver with heat embossing, silver foil and some rhinestones!  And of course to finish the project off I had to create a matching card...

To create the 3d stars, I have used a scoring tool and a ruler to score from each point of the star to the vertical bottom point and folded.  These have been attached using Stampin' Dimensionals to ensure they keep their raised 3d shape.  I think this is a great way to showcase that there are so many different ways that you can use stars and they look so pretty!

I have created the card using a Basic Gray cardbase measuring 8" x 8", folded at 4" to create the longer style of card.
