This Little Piggy comes to Coffee & Card...

Hi all,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Mine was full of fun with my little family and friends including a soggy trip to the local farm where I got my inspiration for yesterday's Coffee and Card creation from.  We had lots of rain over the weekend and whilst doing the rounds to feed the animals, we came across a very muddy but very happy pig and it made me think of the stamp set called "This Little Piggy" that I dusted off when back in my craft barn!

This stamp set has been around for a while now but it is lots of fun and great for a number of different occasions.  My Coffee and Card ladies always seem to enjoy cards with characters on so I went for it!

I have used a standard card base that I have folded back the top layer so that it has an extra fold.  I have used the 2.5" Circle Punch (now retired) to cut out the semi-circle in the double-backed fold.

I have stamped the piggy in this semicircle so that when you open the card, you reveal the whole image.  I have stamped the piggy again onto a seperate sheet of Whisper White Cardstock, coloured in with a Sponge Dauber and some Blushing Bride ink.  I have then cut out the pig and attached the image stamped onto the card base so that he stands out slightly.  The grass and the centre of the flower have been coloured with Stampin' Blends in Old Olive (light and dark shades) and Daffofil Delight.

Onto the top right hand corner of the card base, I have used a Smoky Slate Classic Stampin' Pad to stamp the clouds image from the same stamp set.  I have inked up the stamp once, and then stamped the clouds until the stamp was clean.  I have done this so that I have varying shades of the same colour.  I have used an Aqua Painter and some ink from the Smoky Slate Classic Stampin' Pad to lightly colour in the clouds.

The sentiment comes from the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set and I have added the sentiment in the same way as I have done in a recent post so that I create strips of the words to add to the card.  I have used Stampin' Dimensionals to raise off the card.

This card was lots of fun to put together and re-create at Coffee and Card.  It kept the ladies quite busy for the 75 minutes that I am there for, and they even had time for a bit of a natter!

If you live locally to Sittingbourne, my next Coffee and Card session is taking place next week on Monday 20th May from 10.30 - 11:45am.  It costs £5 to take part and includes your first hot drink of choice plus materials and tuition to make one hand stamped card. I even include the envelope so you can send your card straight away if you wish!

I have used the following products to put this card together:
