Butterflies, pockets and tabs....

Hi all,

I hope you are all having a good week so far.  It has been lovely to see the sunshine and the temperature finally feels like it is on the up!  Fingers crossed everyone.

Today's card is something a bit special and I really enjoyed putting this one together for you all.

I have started with a Whisper White Notecard that comes as part of a 20 card set complete with matching envelope.  These cards and probably my most used product as they are so handy for putting your cards together and a great quality too!  I often use them for my Coffee and Card sessions.  The currently cost £6 for a pack of 20 notecards and envelopes which works out at 30p per card, bargain!  They are available in Whisper White and Very Vanilla.  From the 4th June, the price is increasing to £7.00 so make sure to order them beforehand to get them at the reduced price.

This card is really difficult to photograph so check out my video below to see it in action!

I have used the Pocket Framelit Die to create the pocket on the front that I have added a pull-out tag to with a special message.

The Butterfly has been die cut from the Springtime Impressions Dies.  I wanted to keep the colour theme quite neutral so I used Sahara Sand Cardstock for this.  The Linen Thread that you can see tied in a bow, I have actually used the cut-out holes either side of the body to thread the Linen Thread through.  I always enjoy added ribbin and trim to my cards and it's good to find clever ways to incorporate it on your cards.

The sentiments that I have stamped onto my card all come from the Varied Vases Stamp Set that is available now and will be carrying over into the new 2019/20 Annual Catalogue. The phrases are all really complimentary of each other and the font is really pretty.

The sentiment on the tag inside the pocket comes from the Share What You Love Stamp Set.  I have stamped it in Sahara Sand directly onto the pocket.  I have stamped it again (on a seperate piece of white cardstock) in Balmy Blue, cut out the word "friend" and attached it onto the tag over the original stamped word.  This is a great way of getting a multiple coloured sentiment giving focus to a particular word.  This effect can also be achieved by masking on the actual stamp but I wanted the raised effect.

Watch how this card comes alive in the video below..

I have used the following products and tools to put this project together:
