Beautiful Day looks fab with heat embossing...

Hi all,

Today's card is using one of my favourite techniques that featured on one of my cards in April's card class...Heat embossing and coluring on vellum!

For this design I have used the butterfly image from the Beautiful Day stamp set. This stamp set will be carrying over into the new 2019-2020 annual catalogue however is being changed to a Cling Mount stamp which means it is even better!

I have cut a piece of vellum measuring 10cm x 14.4cm, stamped the butterfly several times using Versamark, coloured with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and set with a Heat Tool.

For this technique, I have coloured the images in using Stampin' Blends in a variety of colours but onto the REVERSE of the vellum. Colouring onto the reverse means you get a duller tones of your colouring and when you blend the colours together, you get some really pretty stains showing through.

Once dry, I have stuck the vellum onto the Whisper White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive as this doesn't show through.

The sentiment is the one that comes from the same stamp set and it's a great size! I have stamped it onto Whisper White Cardstock using Memento Ink Pad and cut into a banner. Before attaching to the card front, I have swirled some Linen Thread behind and attached using Stampin' Dimensionals to raise.

To finish this design, I have added a few Iridescent Sequins in pairs onto the card front.
