Hi all,

Today is one of my favourite days in the Stampin' Up! calendar.  Twice a year Stampin' Up! hold an event for demonstrators to celebrate everyone who works really hard and launch new catalogues full of exciting new product for us to use.  These events are known as "Onstage" and todays event is extra special as it marks 30 years since Stampin' Up! opened it's doors for business.  The event took place LIVE in Disneyworld, Florida last week and I am attending the UK's local version in Birmingham.  There will be goodie bags, new product, achievements shared and lots of fun.

I am so lucky to be attending with two of my wonderful team.  Spending time with them is the best thing and meeting up with people from the Stampin' Up! community is also very special.  Watch out next week for lots of inspiration, sneak peaks and happy faces!

A tradition with these events is to create something (as many times as you want) to share with other attending demonstrators.  These are known as swaps and this is a great opportunity to share what you have made, and be given something new to inspire you in your crafting.  These swaps vary in complexity and it's just lovely to know that people have put something together to pass on.

I have put together two swaps to share with the crowd, one you may recognise and one is totally new!

My first swap is a tag that I have put together with the Trio Corner Punch and decorated with the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set.  To bring this tag to life, I have used Crushed Curry and Crumb Cake for my colour combination, and you have ink, cardstock and ribbon to create different layers.  One of my favourite parts of this tag is the ribbon at the top.  I have used the Whisper White Polka Dot Tuille trim and used a sponge dauber to add Crushed Curry Ink, making it match everything perfectly!

For my second swap, I have created a card front using the Spirited Snowmen Stamp Set.  I created this design as part of my October Christmas Card Class and I have adapted it further for this swap.

This card front is alot more involved than it looks with colour being added to the background creating the night sky.  The snowman have been stamped, coloured in with Stampin' Blends and Champagne Shimmer Paint, cut out and attached back to the card.  The edges have been stamped and distressed further with ink.  I have added the elements in the top right hand corner to give it more dimension and of course a bit of christmas sparkle!

I'm really looking forward to handing these out today and I will share my received swaps with you next week!
