FANCY FOLD FRIDAY

by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 30, 2018
Hi all,

After a busy week last week, I am back on the Fancy Fold Friday train.  For you today I have put together a really quick card that is great for using up those pieces of DSP that you just can't part with (we all do it!).

The colours for this card are those featured within the True Gentlemen Product Suite and as the name suggests are papers that are really well suited for male cards!

I have used 1 piece of A4 card to create this card, and half a piece of DSP!

I have used the Happy Birthday Thinlits Die for the sentiment here and it has been cut using Night of Navy cardstock.  "To You" comes from the Tabs for Everything Stamp Set.

To create this card you will need:
Tranquil Tide Cardstock measuring 5" x 7, 1/2", scored on the long edge at 2", 2, 3/4", 4, 3/4" and 5, 1/2"

2 pieces of DSP measuring 1, 7/8" x 4, 7/8" (for the outside tabs)

Tranquil Tide Cardstock measuring 3, 1/2" x 3, 1/2"
DSP measuring 3, 3/8" x 3, 3/8"

Tranquil Tide Cardstock measuring 3" x 3"
Very Vanilla  Cardstock measuring 2, 7/8" x 2, 7/8" (plus a small scrap for stamping "to you")

Night of Navy Cardstock for the Die Cut (approx 3" x 3")

What do you think?

GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT 131 - EASTER THEME!

in , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 29, 2018
Hi all,

This week at the Global Design Project is a theme week and I'm sure it is no surprise that the theme is EASTER!!

I really enjoy making cards and gifts to share with people at Easter time and this year I have used the Hello Easter Stamp Set for this job.

For this card, I have used the egg-shape stamp to create the card itself.  As the stamp isn't very big, these are mini cards that I shall put in with my gifts.

I have used lots of bright colours on this card and added the little grey rabbit to finish off with the sentiment attached using Stampin' Dimensionals to add some extra dimension!

Thanks for reading guys!

HELLO FRIEND

in , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 28, 2018
Hi all,

Wednesday here and a really quick card to share with you all!

Following on from yesterday, this card also features the Lovely Inside and Out Stamp Set.  This time, instead of using the words, I have used one of the shapes to create this really bright background.

The letters have been die-cut using the Large Letters Framelits Dies in Basic Black to match the card base.

I have used the Lovely Words Thinlits Dies that coordinate with the Stamp Set I have used and layered two to create a shadow effect.

This stamp set and die set are available as a bundle until the end of May this year which means when purchased together you get 10% off!

Have a great day all!

SENDING HUGS

in , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 27, 2018
Hi all,

I hope your week has got off to a good start.

Embossing folders are something that I rarely use and I am making an effort to use them more in my crafting as I love the look they give to whatever you're making.

This card features the Petal Bursthttps://www2.stampinup.com/ECWeb/product/141493/petal-burst-textured-impressions-embossing-folder folder that I have run the front of the card base through the Big ShotI have chosen to use Pacific Point from the Brights collection for this one.

I have added some DSP, a monochrome piece from the Spring/Summer Petal Passion collection, and a contrasting piece from the Whole Lot of Lovely range that is available in the annual catalogue.  I usually try and coordinate my colours but I love how much the Crushed Curry colour stands out against the blue!

The ribbon is actually Dapper Denim in colour and has been tied around the card front with a bow.

I have torn a piece of velum and attached using strategically placed Stampin' Dimensionals (so they can't be seen through the Velum).

I have stamped the small flower from the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set and coloured in using the light and dark Pumpkin Pie, and the light and dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends.  The flower has been glued onto the piece of velum.

The sentiment comes from the Lovely Inside and Out Stamp Set, and 'hugs' is has been cut using the Lovely Words Thinlits Dies.

What do you think??

THE FINAL WEEK OF SALE-A-BRATION 2018 IS HERE :-(

in , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 26, 2018
Hi all,

It's Monday here and it means a few things, the last week of term for me and the girls, the week before Easter and sadly the last week of this year's Sale-a-Bration promotion.

Sale-a-Bration is by far the most exciting and rewarding promotion for customers, hosts and demonstrators so it's always sad to say goodbye.  This year we have seen some amazing projects made with an exclusive set of products that have been loved by so many!

Today I am showcasing a card-set that is currently available for FREE when you place an order of £45.  The card set gives you everything that you need to make 16 lovely cards and the envelopes (as show below)!
Color Me Happy Project Kit
I have used the co-ordinating stamp set Colour Me Happy to create the images on the cards and I have coloured the images using the Stampin' Blends.

I will be placing a FINAL ORDER at the end of this week so if this is something you fancy and would like to get it for FREE send me a message.

Have a great day all!

#GDP130

in , , , , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 25, 2018
Hi all,

This week has been such a busy week and I only managed to squeeze in a little bit of crating "me" time on Saturday evening!  It's almost half term though, hooray!

The challenge over at the GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT is a Sketch challenge meaning that the designers all make a card based on a rough outline.  These ones are always fab as sketches are a great starting off point for any crafter.

For my entry I have used the JAR OF LOVE STAMP SET and co-ordinating EVERYDAY JARS FRAMELITS DIES.

The card layering has been done with 2 pieces of DSP and some Velum.  I have added a silver doily from the METALLIC FOIL DOILLIES and a 2,1/2" Whisper White circle underneath the jar.

The flowers are made by layering your stamping with individual stamps using the same coloured ink and then finishing with the peach-colour for the stamens!  This is such a great effect for adding depth to your stamping and with the new STAMPARATUS available soon two-step stamping is even easier!

Here is the original sketch that was our starting off point this week.
Hope you're all having a great weekend!

Morning all!

Every year Stampin' Up! release a brand new set of "in-colour's" which are available for a 2 year period and every year these colours are just fabulous!

For the last 2 years we have had 5 gorgeous colours called....
Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum!

With the new catalogue launching in a little over 2 months, I shall be enjoying using these gorgeous colours just a little bit more until they are gone from the Stampin' Up! shelves forever!

The image below celebrates these 5 colours just in the form of cardstock and ink!

These thank you cards have been put together using the Playful Backgrounds Stamp Set, the Thankful Thoughts Stamp Set and the Layering Squares Framelits Dies

The cards measure 3,3/4" square and will be my "thank you cards" along with a thank you gift to all customers who place an order with me throughout March.

If you love this selection of colours, please bear in mind that from June 2018 these colours will no longer be available to purchase so you may want to order re-inkers, markers, trims, embellishments, cardstock or DSP's in your favourite colour before stocks run out!  All orders totalling £45 or more will be entitled to a FREE Sale-a-Bration item until the end of March too!

CHOCOLATE TREAT BOX

in , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 20, 2018
Hi all,

I hope the week has started well for you all!

A few weeks ago I celebrated a special friend's 70th birthday together with some of her close friends and family with a surprise afternoon tea!  We had such a lovely afternoon eating cake, drinking tea, playing some fun games and generally having a fab time.  I was asked by the host to put together a few "treats" for people to take away just to say thank you for coming...much like you give a child a party bag!

The treat box below has been made using the Envelope Punch Board to create the cracker style opening at the top.

I have decorated the box using some DSP, a few punches and the gorgeous Celebrate You Thinlits which are currently FREE when you place an order of £90 until the end of March only.

The boxes hold 5 Celebrations / Cadbury's Heroes chocolates so quite literally just a little treat!

Have a great day!

HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAY'S TO YOU

in , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 19, 2018
Hi all,

I can't quite believe that it is Monday already - I have no idea exactly where the weekend disappeared!

I have a really busy week ahead of me so I'm very much looking forward to the weekend being here already!

I have recently discovered and fallen in love with Elegant Eggplant!  I must admit that the Regals colour collection is my least favourite and as such I haven't really used them in my crafting other than at Christmas!  I usually go for either bright, neutral or subtle colours and because of this I seem to neglect the Regals!

The colours in this collection are really deep and luxurious and Elegant Eggplant is the colour focus of today's card!  It is a really strong dark purple colour and the cardstock looks almost velvety!

The flowers on this card come from a very well loved stamp set called Garden in Bloom.  It is a two-step stamp set which means you have stamps for the outline of the images, and additional stamps to infill with colour.

I have stamped 2 flowers and the leaves directly onto the card, and the third has been cut out (with scissors) and raised onto a Stampin' Dimensional.

The sentiment comes from the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set, as do the dots!

This was a really quick card to put together and I'm sure it would look just as nice in any colour!

Have a great day!

HELLO RAINBOW

in , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 18, 2018
Hi all,

The weekend is finally here and after a busy Saturday, today will hopefully consist of some quiet time and a good old roast dinner!

This card is one that took me no time at all and is perfect for a 'just because' occasion.

The rainbow effect has been created with the Stampin' Blends and I have used the Large Letter Framelits dies to cut out "HELLO" .

Thanks for reading folks, have a good Sunday!

HOPE IT'S A WONDERFUL DAY IN YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD!

in , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 17, 2018
Hi all,

One of the great things about being a hostess is being able to purchase exclusive stamp sets that customers simply cannot buy and Stampin' Up! always do their very best to make sure they are special!

In this year's annual catalogue there is a wonderful set called "In the City" which features buildings, vehicles and images that you will find in the city!

It's a great set, and as always Pinterest is full of designs .  Personally I think the sentiments are quite American-ised but nevertheless I love it anyway and just had to have it!

I have created this scene by using the building, car, tree, sun and path outline stamps.  I have then used the second part of the stamp set to add colour to these images, clever ah!  If, like me you are a stamper rather than a colourer (I'm very much still getting to grips with colouring like an adult ha!) this set is perfect for you and so quick and easy to use!
I wanted the sentiment and the image to speak for itself so I have finished the card off by adding some Basic Black Solid Baker's Twine and secured with a bow!

If you like this set and would like to "own it" drop me an email and I will let you know how you can own it for FREE!

FANCY FOLD FRIDAY - DIAGONAL FOLD GIFT CARD HOLDER

in , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 16, 2018
Hi all,

I hope you've all had a good week!  It's been a really busy one here so only managed to squeeze a little bit of crafting time in :-(

Fancy Fold Friday is here and today I am bringing you a really simple fold that you can use to create a pocket inside that is perfect for a gift card, tickets, or anything really!

This card has been created using 1 piece of A4 cardstock, scored in half both ways, and with 2 pieces cut diagonally, then folded up.  To create the pocket, the diagonal pieces are attached along the fold!

I have stamped the background, added the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment over the top in Basic Black Archival Ink and added the trainers using a Stampin' Dimensional for depth.  The trainers have been coloured in using the Basic Black Watercolour pencil and an Aqua Painter.

Thanks for reading, I hope you've got something nice planned for the weekend before more snow comes (apparently!).

TWO MAGICAL UNICORNS AND THE PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT IS COMPLETE!

by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 15, 2018
Hi all,

Today is my final character to showcase in this Magical Day product spotlight, and my favourite of the pack.

The Unicorn! We love unicorns at the manor, so I'm sure you aren't surprised thus is our favourite here.

I have included not one but 2 of these characters on this final card and I've gone with a pink/purple/blue/turquoise colour combination!
I have added some background colour using the diamond mask and the circles have been die cut from the stitched shapes framelits.  I have chosen to stamp the sentiment and cut each word out into a single tile but what word have I missed out?

I am pretty certain this isn't the last you will see of this set from me as it's such fun and the options are endless!

Friday tomorrow, hooray it's been a long week here trying to get back to normal after the snow and poorly girls!

MAGICAL MERMAID

by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 14, 2018
Hi all,

Did you guess that today would be about the Mermaid???

As I have 2 little girls, mermaids are very popular in our house!

This card again features a card base measuring 4, 1/8" x 11, 1/2", folded in half at 5, 3/4".

I have cut a circle out of the Whisper White piece, added this directly over the Pool Party layer underneath, and then added the circles and the mermaid.

I do think the little additions to each character is really clever and this little lady features a Sea Horse friend which I couldn't leave off!

Come back tomorrow to check out what I have done with the final character...the Unicorn!!

A BRAVE KNIGHT TAKES ON THE FIERCE DRAGON!

in , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 13, 2018
Hi all,

These next 2 cards are lots of fun and great for young boys!

Let's start with the Brave Knight!  I know it doesn't say anything about him being brave, but to me all knights are brave!

For this one, I have used the Brick Wall mask, and gone over lightly with a sponge dauber and some Smoky Slate Ink.  I have added a scalloped ring in Cherry Cobbler Cardstock, and he has been die-cut out.  To add the shading, I have added another die-cut knight shape underneath that has been cut out of Basic Grey Cardstock.  He has been raised onto Stampin' Dimensional's.

Next we have the fierce dragon!  Again I have used the Brick Wall Mask and added some colour using a sponge dauber and this time some Crumb Cake ink.

What I love most about the dragon is the breath of fire addition.  He looks fab without it, but I thought this just finished the card off nicely!

Have a great day everyone!

I wonder what character tomorrow shall bring???

by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 12, 2018
    Hi all,

I was really lucky at the most recent Stampin' Up! Onstage event to win the gorgeous Magical Day Stamp Set.  As I have 2 girls, this stamp set really jumped out at me as being one I would get alot of use out of, and it is!

The stamp set features mystical characters incluidng a Dragon, Knight, Mermaid, Unicorn and Wizard...and best of all there are matching Framelit Dies so NO FUSSY CUTTING!!! These stamps are also ideal for colouring in with either the Watercolour Pencils or Stampin' Blends.

This week I am showing you a handful of cards that I have made using each character from the set, starting with the wizard!!!  Each card in this set also features the Pattern Party Decorative Masks.

Using a standard card base measuring 4,1/8" x 11,1/2" folded in half, and using the Cloud mask for the background.

I am still getting to grips with colouring, and overall I am quite pleased with how well the wizard has been shaded!

Come back tomorrow to check out a Brave Little Knight fighting the evil dragon!!

    HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

    in , , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 11, 2018
    Hi all,

A later post than normal for me as I have now I have given this card out! Its mother's Day here in the UK and I've spent a wonderful day so far with my girls, my mum and my mother in law. The hubby booked a very special afternoon tea for us all where we got to bake and prepare it all together, it was such fun!

I can now share with you the card that I made for the Mothership of all Mothers, my Mum to mark this year's Mother's Day.

This card was made a few weeks back and features a fold that we were shown at a recent training event.  I have also used the cards from the Sweet Soiree Memories and More Card Pack that is currently available for FREE in the soon to end Sale-a-Bration promotion....and NO STAMPING!!

This card is made from 1 sheet of A4 cardstock, and is so simple to create!

The fancy fold is on the inside so is a nice surprise for the recipient who thinks it's just a piece of card folded in half!  As my Mum is a fellow paper crafter, I like to create something a bit different and she is a big floral lover!

I have used the Large Letter Framelit Dies here to die-cut the word "MUM" out, and re-attaching the letters using Stampin' Dimensionals to give a 3D look.  For all those Pinterest users, I'm sure you would have seen this technique as it seems really popular at the moment!

    Thanks for reading!

    GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #GDP128

    Hi all,

This week over at the Global Design Project the challenge is to "CASE the Designer".  For those of you that don't know, CASE means to "Copy and Selectively Edit".

At the bottom of this post you will find the project that I have "CASE'd".

For my card, I have used a card base measuring 8" x 8", scored at 4" and folded in half.

I really enjoy looking at all the other entries onto this challenge because it's great to see everyone's version of the sample card, and every one is always so different!

Hope you're all having a great Saturday!

FANCY FOLD FRIDAY WITH TRANQUIL TULIPS

    in , , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 09, 2018
    Hi all,

Finally it's Friday hooray!  It has been a rough week in the manor with a poorly baby but finally she is getting back to her happy self so double hooray!

Fancy Fold Friday is a feature that I used to do on my Facebook Page many moons ago and I'm bringing it back!

I always enjoy making cards that aren't the standard folded way and it's a great way to make a special card or surprise someone and this card does the trick perfectly!

The base of this card is 8" x 8", folded across the diagonal, and then at 4" on either side so really simple and quick to put together!

I have used the Hostess Stamp Set called Tranquil Tulips which is a 2-step stamp set which I have stamped in Rich Razzleberry Ink across the Fresh Fig cardstock, and on squares of Whisper White Cardstock for the front, insides and reverse of the card.

This card folds down into a 4" square, and I have secured with a removable belly band.

    What do you think?

    Have a great weekend everyone!

    Hi all,

One of the great things about the current Sale-a-Bration promotion is that there is a product suitable for every crafter, stamps, ribbons and embellishments, dies, papers and even Memories and More card kits which is what today's set of cards features!

The name Memories and More has been given to Stampin' Up!'s range of pocket scrapbooking products.  I am a big pocket scrapbooker, it fits in great with my busy life and it really does look fab!  However, for today's project I have used cards from the Sweet Soiree Card Pack to create my own greetings cards!

The Sweet Soiree Memories and More Card Kit contains 72 double-sided journaling cards and as always they coordinate with Stampin' Up! colours and products, good eh!

I have used basic cardstock to create the bases for my cards, and a range of journaling cards, layered, cut down and even fussy-cut out some of the images to make my own embellishments!

After making these cards, I still have lots of the cards left over to add to my pocket scrapbooking stash!

    THE FINAL BUTTERFLY

    in , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 06, 2018

    Hi all,

I've really enjoyed getting to grips with Stampin' Blends and they really are so effective with these butterflies.

For this card, I have used a combination of Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral.

I have also added specks of Cherry Cobbler ink to the background which helps break up the white space.

So what do you think of the cards together as a set? Which one is your favourite?

    Have a great week!

    TWO LITTLE BUTTERFLIES

    in , , , , , , by Stacey Marsh Independent UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, March 05, 2018
    Hi all,

Monday morning here and back to the daily grind and hopefully a better week than last!

For today's card, I am continuing with the Beautiful Day set of cards and this one features two butterflies!

For this card, I have stamped directly onto the card, and coloured with both Pink Pirouette and Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends.  For a change, this card is totally flat but the colouring gives depth to the card, and I don't think it needs anything else other than a quick little sentiment!

Tune in tomorrow for the final card in this set!
